About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ESG Advisor to join our Commercial Banking sector at NBC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing ESG integration and promoting sustainable economic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Sustainable Financing Portfolios: Utilize your expertise to develop and implement sustainable financing strategies that support our clients' sustainability objectives.
  • Contribute to ESG Marketing Efforts: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop and execute ESG marketing initiatives, including client meetings and mandate management.
  • Drive Sustainable Finance Initiatives: Work with internal stakeholders to identify and develop new sustainable finance opportunities, including product development and advisory services.
  • Develop ESG Frameworks: Create and maintain a comprehensive framework for ESG product development, aligned with NBC's cross-sector positions.
  • Advise on ESG Trends: Provide expert guidance on ESG trends, including regulatory developments, taxonomies, and ICMA principles.
  • Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Maintain a deep understanding of global sustainable finance market trends, financial product development, and structuring.
  • Lead Client Engagement: Provide insightful leadership to clients and internal stakeholders through conferences, training, recommendations, and analyses.
  • Mentor Account Managers: Collaborate with Account Managers to develop their business development skills and support their efforts in sustainable financing.
About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled ESG professional with a strong background in sustainable finance and commercial banking. You will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural science, or environmental studies, and between 5-7 years of relevant industry experience. A Master's degree in finance, sustainable development, or environmental sciences is an asset.

You will have a solid understanding of ESG and sustainable finance, as well as leadership and communication skills. You will be able to work in a complex and fast-paced environment, and have a strong ability to influence and bring people together.
