We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Advisor, Corporate Responsibility and ESG Reporting to join our team at Transat AT. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of our Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy and ESG reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy CR Strategy: Work in synergy with the Corporate Responsibility team to deploy the CR strategy, with emphasis on ESG reporting processes.
- Develop Processes and Policies: Develop processes, policies, and guidelines to support the strategy and the achievement of objectives.
- Monitor and Evaluate: Evaluate project proposals in terms of effectiveness, feasibility, and strategic alignment, and monitor budgets and schedules for programs under your responsibility.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Sit on cross-functional working committees to ensure integration of CR strategy into operations (responsible procurement, ESG reporting, and sustainable practices).
- Establish Benchmarks and Performance Indicators: Establish benchmarks, performance indicators, and internal dashboards to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize systems, processes, and controls to meet reporting needs.
- Analyze and Interpret Data: Analyze and interpret data for various reporting needs.
- Coordinate ESG Reporting: Coordinate the production of the CR annual report and its updates.
- Work with Finance Team: Work closely with the Finance team as well as internal colleagues who contribute to the CR strategy in order to disclose the ESG information required by the various standards to which Transat complies.
- Develop ESG Reports: Contribute directly to the development of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reports for senior management and external stakeholders (investors, governments, customers, etc.).
- Develop ESG Management and Reporting System: Develop and oversee an updated ESG management and reporting system - i.e., data management, audit, and reporting processes, in collaboration with accounting, risk management, investors relations, and legal teams.
- Act as SME: Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in CR and ESG reporting to influence either decision-making and/or management of cross-functional projects.
- Monitor Industry Best Practices: Monitor industry best practices in CR.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the Communications team to promote our initiatives and programs.
- Coordinate External Mandates: Coordinate external mandates awarded to external partners for specific projects (e.g., climate scenario analysis, double materiality assessment, etc.).
- Education: Undergraduate degree in management, science, environment, sustainable development, or other equivalent program.
- Experience: Between 5 and 8 years' experience in a position related to sustainable development and/or ESG disclosure.
- Skills: Experience in data management, communication, and writing skills (several reports and presentations to be produced).
