Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ESG Advisor to join our team at NBC. As a key member of our Commercial Banking sector, you will play a critical role in advancing ESG integration and promoting sustainable economic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Sustainable Financing Strategies: Collaborate with clients to build a portfolio of sustainable financing solutions that support their sustainability objectives.
  • Contribute to ESG Marketing Efforts: Support Account Managers in their meetings with clients and take charge of mandates to promote ESG and sustainable finance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Work with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable finance products and provide advice to clients on ESG trends and regulatory developments.
  • Provide Leadership and Guidance: Offer insightful leadership to clients and internal stakeholders through conferences, training, recommendations, and analyses aligned with NBC's cross-sector positions.
  • Mentor and Advise Account Managers: Collaborate with Account Managers to help them develop their business development efforts related to sustainable financing.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural science, or environmental studies, with 5-7 years of relevant industry experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in ESG or sustainable finance, with certifications in sustainable development (SASB, GRI, SIPC, ICMA, or equivalent) an asset.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and bring people together.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of commercial clients and their needs, with experience working in an advisory capacity.
