About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ESG Advisor to join our Commercial Banking sector at NBC. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing ESG integration and promoting sustainable economic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable financing strategies to support our clients' sustainability objectives
  • Contribute to ESG and sustainable finance marketing efforts, collaborating with Account Managers to drive business growth
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for developing sustainable finance products and providing expert advice
  • Stay up-to-date on ESG trends, including regulatory developments and market innovations
  • Provide thought leadership to clients and internal stakeholders through conferences, training, and recommendations
  • Work closely with Account Managers to develop business opportunities and successfully execute ESG mandates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural science, or environmental studies, with 5-7 years of relevant industry experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ESG or sustainable finance, with certifications in sustainable development (SASB, GRI, SIPC, ICMA, etc.)
  • Master's degree in finance, sustainable development, or environmental sciences, or MBA, with professional designations (CFA, CA, CAIA, etc.)
  • Experience working with commercial clients in an advisory capacity
  • Solid understanding of ESG and sustainable finance principles
  • Leadership and influencing skills, with strong communication and presentation abilities
