Job Title: Application Support Technical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Technical Specialist to join our team at Emera Inc. As a key member of our IT Customer Experience Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the NS Power Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and maintain software applications that support NSP's AMI solution.
  • Develop and execute technical test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of the application.
  • Develop and implement proactive application monitoring processes and application health checks to ensure the optimal performance of the application.
  • Ensure effective use of application security and controls by implementing application policies, procedures, and practices to the application solution layer.
Requirements:
  • University degree or diploma in a computer-related discipline.
  • Between two- and five-years experience working within technology project implementations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Windows and Unix operating systems.
  • SQL, data retrieval, and analysis.
