Job Summary:

The Director, Arena Operations for Canucks Sports & Entertainment is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to support business objectives for Rogers Arena in Vancouver. This role will also oversee large-scale maintenance projects at the venue.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide operational leadership for arena operations, ensuring seamless event execution and optimal guest experience.
  2. Lead the Arena & Facilities Operations team in maintaining and upgrading Rogers Arena, including equipment and facilities management.
  3. Collaborate with event management teams to deliver exceptional events, including hockey, lacrosse, and concerts.
  4. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external partners to support arena operations.
  5. Work closely with CSE leadership to drive business objectives and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:

Post-secondary education in a related field, preferably with a focus on engineering or construction. 8-10 years of experience in a related role, preferably in a high-performance organization with a focus on customer experience. Proven project management skills, including budget development and management. Strong leadership and team development experience, with a focus on creating a positive and collaborative work environment.

Experience in creating strategic directions for businesses, including tactical planning and execution. Strong business acumen and ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

This is a key leadership role that requires a high degree of personal integrity and a commitment to putting the interests of the organization ahead of personal interests.
