Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Nursing Professor to join our team at Humber College. As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to develop curriculum, design and revise courses, and create an effective learning environment for our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and teach nursing courses, including developing course materials and assessments;
  • Design and revise curriculum to ensure it aligns with program goals and industry standards;
  • Create an innovative and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success;
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and assessment strategies;
  • Participate in committees and related associations to stay current on best practices in nursing education;
  • Supervise work-integrated learning activities and provide academic advising to students as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field; PhD preferred;
  • Registered Nurse with a valid license and membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
  • Superior interpersonal communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills;
  • A student-focused approach with demonstrated ability to coach and support students;
  • Strong knowledge and application of current pedagogical principles;
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, and a collaborative team player.
