Our client, a reputable independent insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Manager to join their team. With over 50 years of servicing the Canadian market, they offer a unique opportunity for a knowledgeable expert advisor in Commercial Insurance lines of business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a book of business, servicing clients in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner, and assisting the producer in obtaining, maintaining, and growing business.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing a renewal book of business
- Working closely with Producers and other staff members on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while following best practices and procedures
- Initiating Account Planning with Producer in advance of the renewal
- Coordinating, supporting plans, discussing arising issues, and creating comprehensive plans for existing clients
- Developing new business from existing accounts and assigned leads
- Managing account documentation (routine inquiries, quotes, binders, statement of values, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.)
- Reviewing client's current coverage and exposures, loss experience, and analyzing risk to determine product/service requirements
- Participating in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledge
- 10 years of experience as a broker with 5 years working on large commercial accounts
- Solid understanding of policy wordings/coverages
- RIBO License is required
- Strong attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Tuition reimbursement for business-relevant courses and training
Must be able to work from the Mississauga office 3 days per week.
