Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Apex Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global IT services provider and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives.

The successful candidate will have experience in records retention, preservation, and destruction, as well as a strong understanding of data lifecycle management. They will be responsible for enhancing operational processes, advising senior records officers, and supporting compliance monitoring activities.

Responsibilities
  • Process Improvement: Enhance operational processes for the Data & Records Management Program to ensure seamless collaboration and project success.
  • Governance Expertise: Act as the Subject Matter Expert for governance and control frameworks, providing guidance to senior records officers and teams.
  • Data Management: Advise on the Data Management Lifecycle, including identification, retention, preservation, and destruction of records, to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Support compliance monitoring activities and provide management reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Expertise: 3-5 years of experience in financial services and/or information governance, with expertise in records retention, preservation, and destruction.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and presentation skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as information management or business administration.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
