Job Title: Floater School Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Floater School Bus Driver to join our team in Calgary. As a Floater Driver, you will be responsible for transporting students safely and efficiently, while also providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport students safely and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Complete mandatory wheelchair training
  • Operate any equipment for Complex Learning Needs (CLN) or School Bus
  • Perform non-driving duties, as assigned, during scheduled hours
  • Drive safely and responsibly; be prepared for all road and weather conditions
  • Verify with Dispatch what schools are on PRO
  • Keep an up-to-date route binder
  • Maintain radio contact and use proper radio protocol
  • Manage passenger behavior by quickly and effectively solving problems
  • Submit bus misconducts to school when necessary
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver's license (FREE Class 2 training provided)
  • 4 or less demerits, with a relatively clean abstract
  • Clear criminal record
  • 10 years commercial driver's abstract
