About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced School Bus Driver to join our team at Driver Seat Calgary. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport Students Safely: Operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Report Incidents: Report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents to the relevant authorities and management.
  • Emergency Procedures: Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Logbooks and Reports: Complete logbooks and reports accurately and on time, providing detailed information about your routes and activities.
  • Student Safety: Ensure children's safety when boarding and leaving buses and crossing streets while the bus is stopped, maintaining control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviors that could compromise safety.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Driver's Licence: Possess a valid Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C).
  • Work Setting: Be willing to relocate and have relocation costs covered by the employer.
  • Work Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
