Job Summary

Driver Seat Calgary is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized bus environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Students: Safely transport students to and from school, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
  • Student Safety: Ensure students' safety while boarding and leaving the bus, and while crossing the street while the bus is stopped.
  • Logbook and Reporting: Complete logbooks and reports as required, including any delays, mechanical problems, or accidents.
  • Emergency Procedures: Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures and report any incidents to the authorities.
Requirements
  • Class 2/2F/C Licence: Possess a valid Class 2/2F/C Licence to operate buses with more than 24 passengers.
  • Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence: Possess a valid Class 4/4F/F/4A-B-C Licence to operate ambulances, emergency vehicles, and buses with fewer than 24 passengers.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a school bus driver.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate and have relocation costs covered by the employer.
Work Environment
  • On the Road Job: This is an on-the-road job, requiring the driver to be away from home for extended periods.
  • Permanent Employment: This is a permanent employment opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Language of Work: English is the primary language of work.
  • Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.
