Job Summary

Driver Seat Calgary is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students, adhering to strict safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Students: Safely transport students to and from school, adhering to designated routes and schedules.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Student Safety: Ensure the safety of students at all times, including during boarding and leaving the bus, and while crossing streets.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Accurately complete logbooks and reports, and promptly report any delays, mechanical issues, or accidents.
  • Emergency Procedures: Direct passengers during emergency evacuation procedures and maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviors that could compromise safety.
Requirements
  • Driver's Licence: Possess a valid Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C).
  • Experience: Have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Be willing to relocate and have relocation costs covered by the employer.
Work Environment

As a School Bus Driver with Driver Seat Calgary, you will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. You will be required to work on the road, with a typical workweek consisting of 35 hours per week.
