Job Title: Registered Clinical Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our team at Olive Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with our physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting program evaluations, consulting with other healthcare professionals, and evaluating the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for examining behavior, interviewing clients, preparing case histories, and assessing problems. Additionally, you will record observations, review reports from healthcare professionals, and supervise other counsellors, social service staff, and assistants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct program evaluations and consult with other healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes
  • Examine behavior, interview clients, prepare case histories, and assess problems
  • Record observations, review reports from healthcare professionals, and supervise other counsellors, social service staff, and assistants
  • Use standard psychological tests for assessment and interpretation
  • Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up, and court reports
  • Help clients manage physical illness and disorders
  • Identify additional/alternative services and provide referrals
  • Provide expert witness testimony in court proceedings
Requirements:
  • Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial, or territorial professional association
  • Electronic medical records experience
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, and MS Office skills
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work with a large caseload
