Job Title: Registered Clinical Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Clinical Counsellor to join our team at Olive Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality counselling services to our clients, working collaboratively with our physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting program evaluations, consulting with healthcare professionals, and evaluating the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for interviewing clients, preparing case histories, and assessing problems, as well as supervising other counsellors and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct program evaluations and consult with healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling and patient outcomes
  • Interview clients, prepare case histories, and assess problems
  • Supervise other counsellors and staff
  • Use standard psychological tests for assessment and write progress reports
  • Prepare treatment plans for each patient and provide education on health promotion and injury prevention
  • Counsel individuals and groups to achieve personal, social, and vocational development and adjustment
  • Implement treatment plans and maintain accurate records
  • Plan intervention programs and initiate, design, and implement specialized therapy programs
  • Recruit and hire staff and conduct research
  • Follow up on results of counselling programs and clients' adjustment
  • Administer standard psychological tests for assessment and interpret test results
  • Prepare assessment, progress, follow-up, and court reports
Requirements:
  • Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial, or territorial professional association
  • Electronic medical records experience
  • MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word proficiency
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
