Assistant or Associate Professor of Biostatistics (Tenure Track)

The Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Biostatistics (Tenure Track). As a leading academic unit for biomedical statistics, our department offers a vibrant research environment with internationally recognized research programs in topics such as Bayesian methods, big data, causal inference, hierarchical modeling, longitudinal data, risk prediction, privacy protection, spatial models, and time series analysis.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct a strong research program, supervise graduate trainees in Biostatistics, and teach biostatistics to graduate students in the Masters and PhD programs offered by our Department. We seek a candidate with a proven ability to develop an internationally recognized research program in Biostatistics, a demonstrated ability to obtain grants for their own research, and a commitment to contributing to the building of successful research programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Candidates must have a doctorate in statistics, biostatistics, or data science and relevant research experience in Biostatistics. They must also demonstrate evidence of research productivity (peer-reviewed publications) and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
