A Career Opportunity as an Occupational Health NurseWe are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as an Occupational Health Nurse. This role will be responsible for managing employee illness/injury related absences and supporting return to work processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support Health and Safety, Client Services and Human Resources with the return-to-work process following work-place illness/injury, as needed.
- Implement policies, procedures, and processes to meet national and provincial standards and support the overall Occupational Health program.
- Lead initiatives to mitigate organizational and employee risk related to occupational/non-work-related illness/injury absences, return to work and medical accommodation.
- Support management of the process regarding confidential employee health records, ensuring compliance to legislative guidelines and best practice standards.
- Drivers License and reliable vehicle is required, due to the traveling component.
- Current registration with an Ontario Regulated Health Professional College required.
- Certificate or diploma in Occupational Health.
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Occupational Health.
This is a full-time position, one year contract, Monday - Friday business hours, hybrid role: Hamilton, ON office location + Travel to client homes in the local community. Location: Greater Hamilton/Burlington Area.
The salary for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus extended health benefits after 3 months' probation and RRSP eligibility after 3 months' probation.
