Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Business Analyst to join our team in Ottawa, Canada. As a key member of our Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship and Joint Support Ship In-Service Support (AJISS) program, you will be responsible for documenting and maturing processes to ensure smooth operations.



Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the Business Analysis team within AJISS to define and refine processes based on end-user interviews, workshops, or pain points gathered from within AJISS and/or DND/RCN;
  • Apply LEAN techniques, including Value Stream Mapping, to assess enterprise process maturity;
  • Formulate value propositions to engage with sponsors and customers; and
  • Develop and deliver requirements, pain points, and opportunities through analysis of existing tools, processes, and data.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • 6+ years of experience documenting business processes and system requirements;
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience leading Business Analysis activities or workshops in a large-scale project;
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with a track record of successful outcomes;
  • Recognized ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a relevant discipline;
  • Experience in business/enterprise architecture, developing business strategies, and working in a Navy or Aviation maintenance context;
  • Practical experience in design thinking/design workshops.
