Job Description

Sabrina Sough Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Contract Management Specialist to join our team. This challenging role requires the successful candidate to possess excellent leadership skills, as they will be responsible for overseeing post-award contract duties in various heavy industrial construction projects.

This position is open to independent contractors and self-employed individuals only. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in onsite contract management, with a strong understanding of commercial and legal requirements.

We are looking for someone who is fully bilingual (French and English) oral and writing mandatory, with a university degree or College diploma in Engineering, Legal or Administration. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience as a post-award Contract Administrator, strong negotiation, mediation skills and settlement of contractual disputes.

This full-time presence onsite role involves rotations and locations to be determined, and can involve fly-in-fly-out to/from remote jobsites across Canada. We offer a competitive salary package, which includes an estimated annual salary of $124,000-$155,000 CAD, based on industry standards and location.

Responsibilities
  • Main point of contact for all commercial, administrative and contractual issues including invoicing and execution.
  • Interpret and oversee compliance with subcontract requirements.
  • Track, prepare, review, evaluate and draft subcontract changes and variations.
  • Implement and ensure client processes and corporate policies are adhered to by all parties.
  • Organize, chair and minute construction progress meetings with the subcontractors.
  • Reconcile, review and approve progress payments in a timely manner and maintain compliance with the prompt payment requirements defined by the subcontract, laws and statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in onsite contract management.
  • Fully bilingual (French and English) oral and writing is mandatory.
  • University degree or College diploma in Engineering, Legal or Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience as a post-award Contract Administrator.
  • Ability to interpret commercial and legal requirements.
