Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operator to join our team at USG. As a Supply Chain Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility, from loading and placement of products to maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the loading and placement of all products from the Board Lines and/or Joint Treatment Departments.
  • Exercise personal safety and promote a safe working environment among crew members.
  • Assist with the implementation of the RPM Program, including supporting, scheduling, and maintaining all rules and procedures related to the Supply Chain's RPM initiative.
  • Read and complete documented inspection procedures.
  • Follow instructions on printed work orders to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.
  • Assist in the implementation of USG Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs/JSAs, and Standard Operating Procedures, as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a manufacturing/mining environment is preferred
  • Ability to operate a Fork Truck for the purposes of warehousing, loading, and unloading various products
  • Ability to recognize unsafe conditions or hazards within the work area
  • Computer skills required for data entry and reporting, and for reviewing or revising documents using Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook for work-related emails
  • Ability to learn the operation of plant equipment
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, production/maintenance, and understands the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements
