Located in Grimsby, Ontario, McNally House Hospice is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care to individuals living with life-limiting illnesses and their families. With over 120 volunteers and a team of highly skilled professionals, the hospice offers 24-hour specialized palliative care in a home-like setting.
Position Overview
The Director of Care plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of McNally House Hospice. As a member of the inter-professional care team, you will oversee the day-to-day functioning of bedside clinical care, ensuring that residents and their families receive the support they need. Your leadership will guide our clinical team in delivering high-quality palliative care, rooted in best practices and compassionate principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the residence's clinical care
- Direct, organize, and supervise the work of the clinical staff
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and multidisciplinary professional staff to ensure high-quality palliative care is being provided
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BScN) with a Certificate of Competence in the Province of Ontario
- Certified in Hospice Palliative Care Nursing (CHPCN) preferred or qualified to write
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years experience as a palliative care nurse
- A minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant management-level experience, preferably in a hospice palliative care setting
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year
