About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Westpark IDA Drugs. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate Prescription Processing: Ensure that prescription information is accurate and up-to-date, maintaining the highest level of patient care.
  • Client Information Management: Enter client information into our databases, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Pharmacist Support: Provide assistance to our pharmacists, ensuring that they have the necessary resources to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked and our patients have access to the medications they need.
  • Prescription Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date prescription records, ensuring that our patients' medical histories are always up-to-date.
  • Medication Preparation: Prepare medications for clients, adhering to strict quality control measures to ensure patient safety.
  • Compound and Package Medications: Compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products, adhering to strict quality control measures to ensure patient safety.
  • Third-Party Billing: Bill third-party insurers, ensuring that our patients receive the care they need without financial burden.
  • Inventory Organization: Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked and our patients have access to the medications they need.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
