About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Westpark IDA Drugs. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate Prescription Processing: Ensure that prescription information is accurate and up-to-date, and that all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Client Information Management: Enter client information into our database and maintain accurate records.
  • Pharmacist Support: Assist pharmacists with various tasks, including preparing medications and maintaining inventory.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels of medications and pharmaceutical products.
  • Prescription Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medications dispensed.
  • Medication Preparation: Prepare medications for clients, including compounding, packaging, and labeling.
  • Third-Party Billing: Bill third-party insurers for medications and services.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
