Pharmacy Aide Job Description

Westpark IDA Drugs is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Aide to join our team. As a Pharmacy Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of prescription information, maintaining inventories of medications, and supporting pharmacists in their daily tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions and medications
  • Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications and answering customer inquiries
  • Conduct inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels of medications and pharmaceutical products
  • Prepare medications for clients and compound, package, and label pharmaceutical products as needed
  • Process third-party insurance claims and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
