Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our team at Canadas Best Value Inn. This role involves providing exceptional service to guests, ensuring a seamless stay experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration and Services
    • Register arriving guests and assign rooms efficiently
    • Process group arrivals and departures in a timely manner
    • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed
  • Conflict Resolution and Communication
    • Resolve guest complaints and claims promptly and professionally
    • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
    • Offer general information about local points of interest
  • Clerical Duties and Inventory Management
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
    • Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying
    • Answer telephones and relay messages
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience: Completion of college or equivalent non-university certificate/diploma program (1-2 years) and 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and reliability
Work Environment and Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, requiring excellent time management and organizational skills. A reliable vehicle is not required for this position.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000 - $60,000, based on industry standards and the location of the hotel.
