Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Canadas Best Value Inn. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process group arrivals and departures, taking into account special requests and preferences.
- Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
- Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, as well as recommendations for local attractions and activities.
- Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
- Follow emergency and safety procedures at all times.
- Clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
- Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff.
- Assist guests with special needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
