Regional Contract Manager

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Regional Contract Manager, Waste and Recycling Services to join their Food Services team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts for Vancouver Coastal Health, creating and maintaining strong relationships with service providers, and ensuring contract compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage contracts for Vancouver Coastal Health, ensuring compliance and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service providers, resolving issues and negotiating contractual changes.
- Support internal stakeholders, providing expertise on contractual specifications and service performance requirements.
- Optimize contract performance and outcomes, leading comprehensive assessments and collaborating with colleagues and teams.
- Work closely with VCH teams, including Legal, Internal Audit, and Finance, to optimize contracts and resolve issues.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, healthcare management, or related field, and/or completion of the Purchasing Management Association of Canada certificate, supplemented by 8-10 years' recent experience in contract management.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract management, cost/benefit analysis, and contract law.
- Practical understanding of commercial terms and conditions, and experience in managing partner/vendor relationships.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with ability to foster a respectful and motivating environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and administrative skills, with ability to convey complex information effectively.
