Outpatient Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Mood Disorders Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary mental health team, you will provide state-of-the-art, specialized treatment for patients with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment for patients with mood disorders.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement innovative treatment interventions.
- Participate in academic activities, including teaching and research.
- Contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Specialist qualifications in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC).
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership.
- Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine.
- Experience working with mood disorders population.
- Experience with academic psychiatry and clinical research.
