Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Therapist to join their Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Vancouver, BC. As a Therapist with our organization, you will be working closely with clients who are experiencing various levels of substance misuse and mental disorders.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of your clients while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing independent substance abuse and mental health screening and comprehensive assessments including DSM IV diagnosis
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans that address both substance misuse and any level of mental disorder
  • Establishing and maintaining non-judgmental therapeutic relationships with clients, and collaborating and consulting with colleagues and other community resources
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master's degree in an Behavioural Health Discipline from a recognized program. Additionally, you should have three (3) years' recent related experience providing professional services to the designated client population who have substance abuse and mental health illness, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is between $42.27/Hr. and $52.81/Hr., based on location and level of experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes MSP, extended health and dental, and municipal pension plan.
