The salary range for this position is approximately $49.15/Hr. - $62.66/Hr., based on location and experience.
Job Description
We are looking for a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our Access and Assessment Center team at Joseph & Rosalie Family Centre in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will provide individualized direct nursing care, discharge planning, and case coordination services to clients with severe and persistent mental illness, concurrent disorders, and/or dementia.
About the Role
As a Mental Health and Substance Use Care Coordinator, you will work independently and as part of a team to provide clinical practice and client-centred rehabilitation programs. You will enhance quality of life from the perspective of the client/family, perform physical and psychosocial rehabilitation assessments, and consult with other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We require a current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). A minimum 6 week or 240 hours of clinical practicum/preceptorship in a mental health setting, supplemented by coursework in mental health or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience is also required. You must demonstrate knowledge of concurrent disorders, substance use and abuse, harm reduction strategies, and psychiatric care principles.
