This position will involve working closely with contractors to ensure that construction projects meet specifications and contract requirements. You will be responsible for inspecting works, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality control plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction sites to verify compliance with specifications, contracts, and quality control plans.
- Monitor contractor performance and provide feedback to improve quality and efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction superintendents to develop and implement quality control assessments.
- Review daily and weekly reports from contractors and verify accuracy.
- Assist in resolving conflicts related to cost, schedule, or quality variations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or a related field, or equivalent experience in heavy civil, northern mining, or remediation projects.
- Ability to understand specification, quality plans, and perform QA functions.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to monitor and maintain contractor adherence to specifications and standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to prepare reports and documentation.
