Job Summary

The Production Supervisor position at Groupe PPD requires a seasoned professional to oversee the overall coordination of production activities within their designated unit. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the department, optimization of production equipment, and workforce utilization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Management: Ensure the smooth operation of your assigned department by monitoring production staff and managing production operations in accordance with safety, quality, productivity, and cost standards.
  • Planning and Logistics: Collaborate with the logistics department to plan your area based on customer demands and operational strategies.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Supervise, guide, and empower production staff under your responsibility to achieve quality and production objectives.
  • Molding and Machining: Master molding and machining processes for bars and ensure products are manufactured in compliance with the quality system, within prescribed timelines, and according to customer requirements.
  • Client Satisfaction: Oversee the production of products in line with clients' technical specifications to meet their evolving needs.
  • Quality System Implementation: Foster a positive work environment to help employees organize, structure, and implement quality system principles.
  • Resource Optimization: Ensure efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment to achieve quality and production objectives.
  • Innovation Management: Manage and assist in diagnosing molding technical issues and identifying solutions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and maintain the preventive maintenance program to ensure consistent production.
Requirements:
  • Education: College diploma (DEC) in Industrial Management Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with experience in plastic molding being a significant asset.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment and bilingualism (French and English).
  • Aptitudes: Strong communication and teamwork skills, good organizational and planning abilities, ability to meet tight deadlines, results-oriented, autonomy, attention to detail, analytical and synthetic thinking, effective priority management, self-control, ability to engage and motivate a team, proactive and solution-oriented, capable of working with minimal supervision.
