About the Role

Colas Canada is a leading provider of road construction services, with a strong commitment to employee development and growth. We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Program Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver technical and non-technical training programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our employees and align with organizational goals.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions, utilizing various instructional methods to engage and educate participants.
  • Training Logistics: Manage training schedules, coordinate with internal and external facilitators, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Training Evaluation: Assess training effectiveness, gather participant feedback, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Training Administration: Manage the Training Management System (TMS) and Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Project Management: Support the planning and execution of learning and development projects, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business, or Communications.
  • Language: Bilingual (or near bilingual) in French and English.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant work experience in a Human Resources department, preferably in a learning and development role.
  • Skills: Knowledge of instructional design approaches, instructional methodologies, and learner-centric design and learning solutions. Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.
