Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Work Design & Compensation team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of compensation and classification initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and administrative support services to the Work Design & Compensation team, including reviewing job descriptions and recommending classification levels.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Compensation/Classification databases, including conducting research, benchmarking, and analysis.
  • Process transactions to implement employee reclassifications, retroactive lump sum payments, and job code changes in related systems.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on the development, review, or transformation of programs from a Work Design & Classification perspective.
  • Analyze the impact of Compensation & Classification initiatives and mitigate risks and realize efficiencies.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management and three years' recent, related compensation/job evaluation experience in a multi-union health care environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics programs, and confirmed expertise in database programs.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities to support Compensation & Classification initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate in a compelling manner to gather job facts, present information, and interact with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
