Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Classification Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. In this role, you will provide technical and administrative support services to the Work Design & Compensation team, review job descriptions, and recommend appropriate classification levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and administrative support services to the Work Design & Compensation team
  • Review job descriptions and recommend appropriate classification levels
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of Compensation/Classification databases
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, costing, and analysis
  • Prepare and present reports and briefing documents
  • Process transactions to implement employee reclassifications, applicable retroactive lump sum payments, and/or job code changes in related systems
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in the development, review, or transformation of programs from a Work Design & Classification perspective
  • Analyze the impact of Compensation & Classification initiatives and/or issues that maintain consistency with broader organizational vision and strategies
  • Provide assistance in the development, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of Compensation/Classification databases
Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • Three years' recent, related compensation/job evaluation experience in a multi-union health care environment
  • Proficient computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics programs
  • Confirmed expertise in database programs
