Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Classification Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Work Design and Compensation team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of compensation and classification policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Work Design and Compensation team, including reviewing job descriptions and recommending classification levels.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Compensation and Classification databases.
  • Conduct research, benchmarking, costing, and analysis to support compensation and classification initiatives.
  • Prepare and present reports and briefing documents to stakeholders.
  • Process transactions to implement employee reclassifications, retroactive lump sum payments, and job code changes in related systems.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, review, or transform programs from a Work Design and Classification perspective.
  • Analyze the impact of Compensation and Classification initiatives and issues to maintain consistency with broader organizational vision and strategies.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management and three years' recent, related compensation/job evaluation experience in a multi-union healthcare environment.
  • Proficient computer skills with word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics programs, and confirmed expertise in database programs.
  • Ability to demonstrate the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous.
