Compensation Specialist Role

FortisBC is seeking a skilled Compensation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in shaping our compensation strategy and ensuring fair and competitive pay for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior leaders and HR teams to develop and implement compensation plans and policies.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform compensation decisions.
  • Administer salary reviews and short-term incentive programs.
  • Develop and maintain compensation dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with payroll and HRIS teams to resolve compensation-related issues.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in compensation, including exempt job evaluation.
  • Designation as a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Excel.
