Job Title: Executive Chef - Menu Development and Kitchen Operations
Salary: $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team as an Executive Chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate special events and functions, including menu planning and food preparation.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
- Order supplies and equipment to maintain optimal levels of inventory.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Recruit and hire staff to support the growth and development of the business.
- Manage kitchen operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
