About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Excavation Equipment Operator to join our team at AJMA EXCAVATING LTD. as a key member of our site operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, to perform excavation, ditching, and land clearing tasks.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Measurement and Calculation: Accurately measure distance, volume, length, and weight to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors using two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Accident Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate accident reports in a timely manner.
  • Site Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment with exposure to outdoors and dusty conditions.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including construction sites.
  • Area of Work Experience: Ditching, excavation, and land clearing.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, with a focus on attention to detail.
