About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Excavation Equipment Operator to join our team at AJMA EXCAVATING LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient excavation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate excavation equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and graders, to excavate and move earth and other materials.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Site Preparation: Prepare excavation sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and ensuring safe working conditions.
  • Measurement and Calculation: Measure distances, volumes, lengths, and weights to ensure accurate excavation and material handling.
  • Communication: Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to coordinate with team members and management.
  • Accident Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate accident reports to management and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in excavation operations.
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment, outdoors, with exposure to dust and varying weather conditions.
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including construction sites and excavation areas.
  • Area of Work Experience: Ditching, excavation, and land clearing.
