Job Summary

AJMA EXCAVATING LTD. is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and performing minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, to dig and move earth and other materials.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight to ensure accurate excavation and material handling.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to understand excavation plans and requirements.
Work Environment

As an Excavator Operator, you will work outdoors in a variety of locations, including construction sites, quarries, and landfills. You will be exposed to dusty conditions and physically demanding work.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in excavation or a related field.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
