Job Title: Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team at AJMA EXCAVATING LTD.

Job Summary:

The Excavator Operator will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, conducting pre-operational checks, and performing minor repairs. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in excavation, land clearing, and ditching.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, to dig and move earth and other materials.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment, including cleaning and lubricating.
  • Measure distance, volume, length, and weight of materials.
  • Secure special attachments to equipment and operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in excavation, land clearing, and ditching.
  • Physically demanding work environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoors in various locations.
  • Dusty work environment.
  • 40 hours per week.
