Director of Learning and Development

Role Summary

The Director of Learning and Development will oversee the design and delivery of technical training programs, integrating AI-driven tools to enhance content creation and scalability. This role requires expertise in industry regulations and standards, leadership skills, and proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and training technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Strategy & Team Management: Develop a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business objectives and manage a high-performing team to deliver world-class technical training.
  • Program Development & Integration: Oversee the design of technical and non-technical training for employees, partners, and departments, incorporating AI to optimize content creation and training delivery.
  • Certifications & Compliance: Implement and manage technical certification programs, ensuring adherence to industry regulations (NFPA, UL, ULC), and ensure all training programs meet safety standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaboration & Content Development: Collaborate with product, engineering, and service teams to ensure training content is current, relevant, and aligned with the latest innovations and standards. Customize curricula to meet department-specific needs.
  • Training Delivery & Monitoring: Ensure high-quality delivery of in-person and virtual training, utilizing AI tools for scalability, and track performance metrics to assess program effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Partner with department heads and HR to address training needs, report on key performance indicators, and maintain records of participation and certifications. Serve as a liaison with external accreditation organizations.
Requirements and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree: Business, Education, Human Resources, or related field (advanced degrees or certifications, such as NFPA, are a plus).
  • Experience: 7-10 years in a training leadership role, preferably within fire alarm, life safety, or security systems.
  • Skills: Expertise in designing and delivering technical training programs, leadership, communication, project management, organizational skills, and proficiency in LMS, AI-driven content tools, and training technologies.
What We Offer
