Job Description

As a Food Safety Specialist - Brand Compliance, you will work closely with our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients to ensure brand standards, food quality, and friendly service for their customers. Your duties will include conducting assessments to measure conformity to regulatory and proprietary brand standards, observing food prep and cooking standards, and teaching clients how to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to measure conformity to established regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards
  • Observe food prep and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices
  • Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans
  • Teach and coach clients how to maintain a safer and healthier environment for themselves and their customers
  • Travel up to 50% of the time by car and/or plane, equivalent to 10 overnight stays per month

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid full driver's license and ability to pass a MVR check
  • 1-5 years of food service, restaurant, or grocery operations and customer service experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of food safety (preferred)
  • ServSafe and/or CP-FS Certification(s) (a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management, or Science (preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs chest high, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability and desire to influence others with tact and skill
  • Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback in a positive manner
  • Thrives in an autonomous working environment
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
