Cadillac Fairview is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our properties and occupants.

About the Role

  • Perform regular inspections of our properties to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations;
  • Monitor and maintain fire alarm systems to prevent false alarms and ensure timely detection of potential hazards;
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents as required, utilizing your knowledge of fire safety protocols and procedures;
  • Liaise with tenants, building managers, and other stakeholders to educate them on fire safety best practices and procedures;
  • Collaborate with our operations team to develop and implement fire safety initiatives and projects;
  • Conduct training sessions for emergency personnel and tenants on fire safety procedures and protocols;
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training sessions;
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to fire safety codes and regulations, providing recommendations for updates to our policies and procedures.

About You

  • You have a strong background in fire safety, either through education or experience;
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
  • You are proficient in maintaining accurate records and reports, with attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • You are able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • You are committed to ongoing learning and professional development, staying current with changes to fire safety codes and regulations.
