Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Pet Valu. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, including arranging seminars, conferences, and other events. You will also be responsible for supervising other workers, training them, and recording minutes of meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and coordinate seminars, conferences, and other events
  • Supervise and train other workers
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Answer electronic enquiries
  • Compile data, statistics, and other information
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents

Requirements:

  • College/CEGEP education
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Equivalent experience
  • Ability to multitask
  • Flexibility
