Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Food Services Director to join our team at Compass Group Canada. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Leadership: Develop and implement menus that meet the tastes and dietary needs of our clients.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily food service operations, including staff management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Financial Management: Monitor revenues, labour costs, and expenses to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Expertise: Minimum 1 year of experience as an executive chef or in a similar role, with a focus on high-volume food service operations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Education: College diploma or equivalent in culinary arts or a related field.
