BOMBAY TO GO is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional with exceptional culinary skills to lead our kitchen operations. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for planning menus, requisitioning food and supplies, and supervising kitchen staff. You will also be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Manage kitchen operations
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and be able to work under pressure. You will be required to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Requirements
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 months of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary Information

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $40,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.
