About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Chef to lead our kitchen team at L'Abattoir Restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional who wants to take their career to the next level and be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the sourcing, purchasing, and receiving of food and supplies required for restaurant operations
  • Work in partnership with Ownership, General Manager, and Bar Manager to ensure seamless collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
  • Develop and implement effective menu planning, costing, and inventory management strategies
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, train, and develop kitchen staff to achieve exceptional performance
  • Collaborate with Sous Chefs to plan and execute meal periods, private dining events, and offsite catering services
Requirements
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management systems
