Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work as a member of the rural health care team in Canmore, Alberta, collaborating on the delivery of comprehensive care to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Administer safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing care standards.
  • Work as an interprofessional health care team member utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
  • 2 years of emergency experience within the past 3 years.
  • 1 year of post-partum experience.
  • Current Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Current Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Certification in Canadian Triage & Acuity Scale (CTAS).
  • Up-to-date N95 Fit Test.
  • Completion of It's Your Move.
  • Competence in Lead II interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Connect Care training.
  • Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
